Description:

There are two types of java pid files *.hprof and hs_err_pid*.log files. 

The *.hprof files are an indication of a Out of Memory error in the JVM 

        *.hprof 

The hs_err_pid*.log files are an indication of the JVM crashing. 

        hs_err_pid*.log
