Documentation
BASIS offers product documentation in HTML and Flash format and distributes it in three convenient ways:
- Accessible from the product CD in HTML format
- Available online
HTML (for Microsoft Internet Explorer)
Flash (for Mozilla, Netscape, etc. and other browsers unable to properly display HTML)
- Downloadable from this site
UNIX (compressed TAR file)
HTML for UNIX (24.8 Mb .tar.Z)
Flash for UNIX (26.9 Mb .tar.Z)
Uncompress the TAR file and extract it into the directory where the files will reside
Windows (self-extracting ZIP file)
HTML for Windows (22.7 Mb .exe)
Flash for Windows (23.4 Mb .exe
Execute the file to start the extraction of the file, then identify the directory where the extracted files will reside
Map Report
Along with the documentation build process, RoboHelp generates a MapReport.txt file, which contains a comprehensive
listing of the available topic titles, ID numbers, and filenames used in the BASIS product documentation. Developers can use
the topic names and IDs with most any application to take advantage of BASIS' context sensitive help, providing a direct
link into the documentation. For more information about how to use this file with context sensitive help, see BASIS Offers Context Sensitive Help on the World Wide
Web in the BASIS Advantage Magazine.
BBx 2.0 Manual
Printable .pdf files that include BBx-only documentation through revision level 2.xx (November 1999) are available for
download as listed below. For the most current, up-to-date information, use the HTML, Windows Help file and online versions
identified above.
