The BASIS Advantage Winter 1998 (Volume 2, Number 4)

BASIS has introduced a license management system, FLEXlm by Globetrotter Software, Inc., into one of its products, the BASIS ODBC Driver. This issue focuses on the history of software licensing, some of the issues surrounding the practice, why BASIS has chosen this system and some of the technical processes of FLEXlm, including the installation and registration process.
