KB#00535-Compiling a TAOS procedure larger than 64kb receives "fatal error--out of program buffer space--use -m switch"

Title:

Compiling a TAOS procedure larger than 64kb receives "fatal error--out of program buffer space--use -m switch"

Description:

Prior to 1.31 there was a 64kb limitation to the size of a procedure. Compiling procedures larger than 64kb would result in an error message "fatal error--out of program buffer space--use -m switch"

Resolution:

Adding the following to the config.tpm file will overwrite the default setting by pointing to a customized response file:

DEFAULT_ROPTION=/u/full/path/tocompiler/response/file

The save.opt file is the default response file and is created new each time a procedure is compiled unless this line is added to config.tpm file. Save.opt may be used as a template file for the customized response file. Increase the -m parameter on the following line for the customized response file:

bbxcpl=pro5cpl -dD:/basis/taospm/demo/bbx/ -xbbx -ec:/temp/prompt_4.cpl -m64
